Default Haleys Comet Episode

I have been watching a bunch of Benson episodes on my old VHS tapes lately and is it just me or does the episode of Haleys Comet kind of freak you out?
I mean to see Mrs. Cassidy, The Governer and Clayton being reduced to dust was a bit spooky. Thankfull they didn't have Katie walking in on this seeing her dad sitting at his desk reduced to dust.

Yeah, I never cared much for this episode. I always thought it was a bit too "out there" for me. But the episode was released in 1985, which was the last time we saw Haley's comet and I'm sure that was the inspiration for the episode in the first place.

Haley's Comet is one of my least favorite Benson episodes, I've always thought it was way too far-out.
I think the most disturbing aspect for me was always having to assume that poor little Katie was turned into a heap of dust as well. I'm just thankful the writers chose not to exhibit her pitiful remains the way they did the others.
Just the thought of Katie being reduced to dust is sad enough.

Haleys Coment episode was my favorite episode when Karus was married to Benson and they had the 2 kids.

Come to think of it, the episode did center around Benson's nightmare about the comet hitting earth so I guess it could be as far-out as the writes wanted to make it, kind of like that time on "Dallas" when someone dreamed up an entire season. After all, how many of use haven't had some really crazy far-out dreams ourselves.

Regardless of all that, I've never been a big fan of end of the world stuff anyway.

Come on Sony, it's time for season two!

Yes, you are right!

First Benson became Governor, voted by Kraus - the only voter in this election for governor.
And then he became...Emperor!

The ruler of a damaged world. But with a nice costume!

Kraus looks also great! I love the dress she's wearing!
