Oh No George Michael Finds Nothing Wrong With Occasional Use Of Crack, Cruising For Sex

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/audi...hael-interview

Singer George Michael is amused critics brand him "tragic" - insisting he sees nothing wrong with smoking crack cocaine and cruising public toilets for gay sex.

The hitmaker was arrested on London's Hampstead Heath last year after police found drugs in his possession.

Now, the star admits it was deadly crack cocaine he had on his person, but doesn't see the harm in using the dangerous narcotic sporadically.

When quizzed by the Guardian newspaper over whether he was using the drug at that time, he replies, "Was I? On that occasion, yeah."

He adds, "I've done many different things that I shouldn't have done, once or twice. Of course. Nobody wants to regularly smoke crack."

And the star can't see the problem with his habits, taking a swipe at his pal Elton John for trying to help him conquer his demons.

He says, "People want to see me as tragic with all the cottaging and drug-taking. I don't see them as weaknesses any more. It's just who I am. Elton (John) will not be happy until I bang on his door in the middle of the night saying, 'Please, please, help me, Elton. Take me to rehab.' It's not going to happen."

Oh No George Michael, World's Biggest Loser.

So much for his whole "Explore Monogamy" theme in the video for "I Want Your Sex".

The man's an idiot. He should be touring with the likes of GWAR, whom I've read some years ago are big crack fiends (which should explain a lot right there ).

Don't be too surprised if the next thing we hear from him is that he has either a) dead from a heart attack or worse from crack abuse, or b) full-blown AIDS, or both.

What in heavens name has this story got to do with music?

There should be a "Chit Chat--Gossip" message board

I think it's just mentioned in the music board because George Michael is a singer/songwriter. Speaking of, has he released any new music lately??

Aside from singles not really. His last full album was 2004's "Patience".

Thanks - I knew I hadn't heard much about him in recent years professionally, just his scandals.

Yeah, keep looking for sex in public bathrooms then what do you expect will happen? Not totally sanitary...

Also, nobody occasionally uses crack. That's highly addictive stuff.

Not to mention a car accident. He's had several in the last few years, and I believe they were all while he was under the influence.

Yeah, it's really weird how 98% of everything ever reported in music is hardly about music. That's the tabloid world we live in these days. Ever since Jerry Lee Lewis was caught with his 13-year-old cousin bride, the music world has been focused on tons of misdeeds of every star to come down the pike.

I'm thinking that George Michael is looking for danger in anonymous sex in bathrooms. And the crack adds to the thrill.

And what is his big complaint about being busted in Beverly Hills if this is how he chooses to live?

Well, he's made his own stall, so now he lies in it.

Quite common you will see good/bad news of actors in "Movies", musicians in "Music", and athletes in "Sports".
