There are probably a thousand movie versions of this wonderful story, but what is your very favorite? Mine is hands down the Allister Simm version. I absolutely LOVE it! I think the reason I love it so much is because of the memories that I have associated with it.
When I was in junior high, on the last day of school before Christmas break, we never did anything in class and the school would broadcast this movie on all the TV's thorughout the school. I don't think I ever got to watch the entire thing in one sitting, but it's just the feeling that Christmas is coming and there won't be any school for two weeks. I miss that feeling... just not the same when you are an adult and working through the holidays, even if you get Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. I have other versions that I like as well, such as Mickey's Christmas Carol and I just saw one last Sunday afternoon with George C Scott as Scrooge. Loved that one. I also like the Patrick Stewart version. |

Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (1962), the very first animated TV special,
is still my favorite. But I also watched the ones with Henry Winkler, Mickey Mouse, and The Muppets (among others). |

Ha ha, I forgot about that one! It's great! I haven't seen that in ages! I hope it will come on this season, or else I'm sure I can find it somewhere. I'd love to see it again! |

I like all of the versions. I can't wait to see the one in 3D. A few of my cousins went to see it and they said it was good.

I've said it time after time again. Scrooge with Albert Finney is my favorite.

I liked the George C. Scott version. I saw the Jim Carrey 3-D version last night and it was pretty good.

Can anyone guess who the actor is playing Scrooge in this recent photo? He's been all over tv for years and that's the only clue for now.

In my opinion, George C. Scott's version tops everybody else's.
