Barbara Mandrell's Book
I have been reading Get to the Heart, by Barbara Mandrell. It's a very
interesting autobiography. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is the format in which it is written. Every other chapter talks about her past (from childhood on up), while the alternate chapters deal with the (then)present (including her near-fatal automobile accident), which is a little bit confusing. So, there is no flow of continuity from one chapter to the next. That aside, it is a very informative book for fans of the talented and versatile Barbara (and her sisters, Louise and Irlene). Recommended. |
