Ron Wood Arrested For Allegedly "Assaulting Girlfriend"

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend, model Ekaterina Ivanova.

According to reports, the 20-year-old Ivanova claimed the 62-year-old Wood attacked her during an argument on Wednesday night.

Wood was questioned by police in Claygate, Surrey in Southeast England after the incident, which allegedly took place in a street near the couple's home.

Wood apparently spend the night in jail and was released on bail. A spokesman for the Stones confirmed the arrest but said the band would not be releasing a statement on the matter.

Surrey police released a brief statement, saying "We can confirm that a 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident," adding that "he has been released on bail till a date in January pending further inquiries."

The news comes just days after Ivanova allegedly spread rumors that the band would be touring in 2010.

Fans have speculated that Wood was in danger of being kicked out of the group due to his penchant for partying.

Wood has spent several stints in rehab and got divorced last year from his wife of 23 years, Jo, who caught him having an affair with Ivanova.

Why would he have a 20 year old?

I hope he gets his act together. He has too much talent, and he is too old to behave in such a fashion.

Wow, who would have thought a 62 year old drunken rock star and a 20 year old model couldn't make things work.

I've never been a big fan of Woody's. I don't think he has the same level of talent as either Mick Taylor or Brian Jones. Wood joined the Stones in 1975 and only played on three classic Stones albums (Some Girls, Tattoo You, Undercover). They made more classic albums with Mick Taylor in five years than they have made with Wood in three decades.

He looks almost as scary as Mick and Keith!! What is with it with these musician guys? You have the Ron Wood thing, Robin Gibb's open marriage and having a baby with his live-in housekeeper who is like 25 years his junior...ay yi yi!!
