thanx for posting that link; that was a ggreat show. I hadn't seen that in YEARS!!
I wish it would come to DVD, but sadly, I heard that most of the variety shows don't because of-music rights

SHOCKED, STUNNED AND THRILLED...I wonder what daring low budget company is preparing this one? Virgil? S'more? Mill Creek? Infinity?..Could even be a Time/Life piece?..I know Paul Brownstein has distribution rights, I'm sure this one will be a best of set, like most Brownstein given product.....but this release is a real stunner....not seen since its original airings, which I watched and remember saying to myself "who is this wacky genius Andy Kaufman?", who got his first regular network exposure on this series....yes he premiered the "Mighty Mouse" rountine on Van Dyke & Company!

Since only 15 shows were done, wouldn't be logical to do a complete series release?

I also wonder why this show did so poorly in the ratings?

It's hard to issue those variety shows on DVD because of music-rights problems.

^Yes.....but Shout! wouldn't be contemplating this if the music rights couldn't be cleared.

Do we officially know that it is perhaps Shout? Usually Paul Brownstein deals with Time/Life, while I do love the releases, they are usually hatchet jobs...with many 60 minute variety show episodes running 22 minutes or less!...This Is Tom Jones, Sonny & Cher Christmas just to name a few.
