Lightbulb Season 7 Cover Art - What Would You Like To See?

What would you guys like to see on the cover of the Season 7 box set?

I think it would be cool to see an image of Mary looking back into the newsroom from the WJM door. (From the Finale)

I agree with the picture from the last episode. I have this on a TV Guide cover someone in my collection, and it's a great picture and should be a strong candidate for the 7th season box set. (Someone may want to email Fox and suggest this!)

I agree with what's been said, here's the photo in question to those who haven't seen it.

That would be an awesome pic to use for cover art. Definitely appropriate. I also think a cast pic would be a good idea, since we know the show wasn't JUST about Mary (as she herself often points out!).

Well, actually I was thinking about the actual scene from the show. Not the TV Guide image.
But that could work, too.

Yes, the entire cast would be nice too.
Do you have a certain photo in your head, Kristen? I'm just curious.

A screengrab probably wouldn't work well on a DVD cover, with age and graininess etc. But it's a good thought. :-p

No, not really, but obviously one taken around that time would be nice. Most other shows use cast pics on the DVD's, so I've never really understood why Fox insists on only putting Mary on the covers. Not that I'm saying she shouldn't be there, but it would just make more sense.

i think to keep to what they've been doing, they'll do a cutout pic, not a group pic...but that shot of mary at the door is a nice one, and i wouldn't mind them using that as the cutout

i'm betting different cast pics are hard to find except the one they probably posed for at the beginning or end of every season, and i'm not sure i want to have them cut and paste images on the dvd case cover to make it LOOK like a cast pic

and i'm ok with it being just mary if that's how it ends up...the oft-repeated statement that she let her costars shine is very true. but there IS no show without mary and to me she was the biggest and brightest star...love her!

I have that TV Guide. I've had it ever since it came in the mail to my house in 1977.

What gets me is how the series ended in March of that year, and how the seasons use to be from September to end of February/March. Now we have fewer episodes through the season, with seasons being stretched through May.

Sorry, I'm confused.
What do you mean, "fewer episodes through the season"?
There's usually around 20-some.

What I mean by fewer episodes is just that, fewer episodes. Most seasons were 24-26 episodes, and now it's like 20-22. Plus the shows are a bit shorter in length, maybe not by much but they are. And the season is stretched out through all these sweeps, sticking in reruns all through the season. Back in the real days, the seasons were finished by the first of March. That just amazes me.

"A bit shorter"..
4-5 minutes shorter than in the 1970s..
Mary Tyler Moore had episodes is the 26 minute range, while a new episode is 21-22 minutes.
