What are the basic do's and don'ts of your dress if you're a wedding guest?
I've been invited to a bunch of weddings this summer and I have a dress in mind, but I've never been to a wedding before, so I don't know if it's appropriate. Can someone help me out here? Here's what the dress looks like. ![]() ![]() ![]() I also have a black strapless one that is a little longer than this one that I can wear, but it seems kind of weird to wear black to a wedding. Idk.... Any help is appreciated!

I think the main rule of dressing for a wedding is not to draw attention away from the bride. (after all it's her day!) So as long as you don't wear a white gown with a train and a veil I think you'll be fine.

I really like the dress, but if the wedding's in a church it would probably be appropriate to put a sweater over your shoulders. It looks more conservative that way. I can't tell how long the dress is, but if it comes to your knees you're fine. I'd wear it!

The dress is great looking, and you look fantastic in it, Courtnee. If you feel like wearing black, that's fine too. You'll see plenty of women wearing black. Just go and have a great time! By the way, I love your hair.

^ Then I'd definitely put something over your shoulders, so you don't look too casual. BTW, I agree with Janice, black is totally fine for a wedding, as long as you're not the bride or a member of the bridal party.
