Question Changes in your life since you first joined this site?

What major changes have taken place since you joined Sitcoms Online? Answer this question -- Since I joined this site in ??...

Here's mine. When I joined this site in August of 2001,

1. I had just stopped working a couple of months before, never realizing that I would never work again. I had worked for over 20 years straight.

2. My parents and my sister were alive.

3. I was a pro-choice Democrat.

4. I was in excellent health.

5. I didn't know yet the great friends I would make here.

6. 9/11 was just a month away.

1. I grew up a little, although I still have A LOT of growing up to do.
2. I realized that life, although stressful, really isn't all that bad
3. I graduated High School
4. I've had about 4 different boyfriends
5. I've dyed my hair about 38475847584 times.

I'm sure there's a lot more than that, but those were the first things that came to mind.

Great thread idea

well, the biggest thing that's happened to me is I FINALLY found out; 4 years ago, what's wrong with me and why I have trouble with my balance and my walking and speech, and why it's getting worse sometimes. For years I had been to numerous doctors and they were all stumped. Then 4 years ago, I found a doctor who knew what the problem is-H.S.P (Hereditary Spastic Parapalesis).
To be fair, though, for years noone knew about it and even now some doctors and other medical proffesionals are just hearing of it.
And since I joined I started using a motorized scooter-I used to use a manuel wheelchair. I still do, but just every once in a while.

And also-let's see-3 years ago our dog died.
A few months before that our mothers dog died.
Last spring our mother had a "cardiac arrest"-she's fine now. (and no, that's not the same as a heart attack. I forget what the difference is)

But the biggest change is-I met Lauren, Tara, Janice and a LOT of really nice people on here!!!

Grandfather passed away 2 days after my 16th Birthday-2004
Graduated High school-2005
Diagnosed with Clinical Depression and Social Anxiety Disorder-2005
Officially diagnosed with Fibromyalgia-2006
Went away to college-2006
Survivor of Rape-2006
Cousin killed in Iraq-2006
Met Alan Alda -2007
Got my cat Bella-2008
Lost my dog Snuggles-2009

Like Courtnee, I think I've done a lot of growing up over the years, but I still have a little ways to go.

Well, I haven't been a member for that long, so not a whole lot has happened.

I found Facebook and have been able to communicate with tons of my high school and church friends.

My mom got remarried back in July.

Wow, I've been here a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

Joined on July 15, 2002.

- Graduated from HS (2003)
- Moved across state (2003)
- Started college (2004 - 2007)
- Traveled to London (2004)
- Had a cousin commit suicide -- in fact the 5 year anniversary is tomorrow. (November 22, 2004)
- Traveled to New York City (2006)
- Met Dustin aka Dutabi84 when he came to town for work for like 4 days (2006)
- Got really wrapped up with this one guy, and it ended horribly (2006 - 2008). Bastard is the reason I'm quick to judge now. Probably for the best, I *listen* to my gut and at first sign someone ****s me over, BAM, they're out of my life.
- Traveled to Los Angeles/Long Beach, and got to hang with Tara the whole night... so freaking awesome. (2007)
- Ended up living in Minnesota for a little while - not even 90 days, it's one ****ing LONG story as to why, PM me if you're interested (2007)
- Moved back here AGAIN, into my first place on my own with a roomie (2007)
- Last of my grandpas passed away (2007)
- Started working, yay (2007)
- Went to my alma mater for homecoming weekend... In the process, I got to see and speak to one of my former teachers literally 12 hours before she was stabbed to death. Last time I saw her was February 29, 2008... Her murder was in the wee hours of March 1st. Her murder made some pretty serious headlines.
- Left my last job for the current one I have (2009)... Tomorrow will be 7 months I've been there, holy ****.
- Flew for the first time all by myself to visit my sibs... Paid for my own tickets and flew on a plane completely solo. 'Twas awesome.

Tentative plans I have through the end of 2010 are to fly out to visit my sibs once again (NYE 2010), travel to Portland and hopefully get to meet Brad in the process (spring? summer? haven't decided) and travel to NYC (NYE 2011).

I joined in June 2008

Since then

I lost my job
I have been living off the state of Michigan (just umemployment, no food stamps or nothing like that. There is only so much relief I will take).
I found out most of my friends think I am a creep because I am a quiet person

I guess thats it. As you can tell I lead a very dull life.
