I have to admit that even after I've been emailed this SO many times, I still fell for almost every one of them! Hilarious!

I didn't do the test as I don't believe my memory is going south, it's pretty good for my years actually. But want to share what the FDA has just approved for Alzheimers and even though it's come out weak in trials. Only can run about $50K per year and if you all have no interests maybe your parents/grandparents. I'm probably the oldest here anyway.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/fda-alz...iogen-aduhelm/ https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/07/h...mers-drug.html And what the drug is said to do is reduce the amyloid plaque in the brain...and FYI, that is what Grape Seed Extract does and for about 50cents a day. I know many of you enjoy making fun of Grape Seed Extract but, how about this....Losing one's memory is a horrible horrible situation. |

Of course I mean well, I would even share "saving the brain" with enemies and I've even done that on one of the forums you directed me to, the members are pretty horrid, but I still share info as everyone is aging and dementia and losing one's mind is a terrible terrible thing. I've read too many Caregiver forums on all this and their loved ones who are gone, memory wise...
On this issue, it's the caregivers who lose their lives trying to take care of the one's who have "lost their minds"....these people have no idea what is going on as the disease advances and many end up in homes to wait out their end. Very very sad. I've attempted to talk "prevention" here and Health talk is a no no for the most part I was told. |

As most of you know my husband is in a Memory care facility suffering from Lewybody Dementia.(Robin Williams had the same thing) But I must admit that this post is hilarious!
![]() My hubby is doing well, considering. Doesn't talk much and cannot walk but still recognizes people. It's a sad thing to watch.

Just talking about this subject with some others and I have my gut feeling on so much of this memory loss issues, is the push for statin drugs over the last 20-30 yrs...I've read how these drugs have lowered the cholesterol so much and especially to the brain and our brain needs cholesterol. My parents generation escaped these drugs and they lived long lives with a good brain. Yeah, I know we should not talk health, but without good health, what is there. |
