Jackie Gleason on History Channel's "WWII in HD" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Well, not Jackie in person. History this week had the series "WWII in HD" and last night was about VJ day in 1945. They were showing films of New York and I assume Time Square or Broadway? During the big celebration, on one of the marquee's the one name that you could read was "Jackie Gleason!" I don't know if there was a movie playing at the time which would have featured him, or maybe a Broadway show? Does anyone have any info? Thanks!

I wasn't looking for it, I just happened to look in the background of the people and saw "Jackie Gleason" and thought "What do ya know? Even on VJ Day he's there!"

This was probably around the time he was appearing on Broadway in Follow the Girls.
