I’m sorry, I don’t know who else to ask. A few years ago, and I don’t remember the details, but I bought myself the Best of Aerosmith (2cd set) and the best of Rolling Stones (also a 2 cd set). I might even have gotten Aerosmith from an infomercial as I remmeber getting a keychain with it !!
Well, almost right away, my son took them, played them to death and they are scratched up and beyond repair. I want to replace them, rather than downloading songs – I liked them. Any idea of the names of the CDs? I’m not a huge fan, I just want the best of each band’s music. I looked on ebay and it’s all bootleg music … I looked on J & R’s site but couldn’t figure out what to buy .. and Border’s doesn’t have that much music anymore. Many thanks !! |

For Aerosmith, I'm thinking "O Yeah, Ultimate Aerosmith Hits".
Does that ring a bell? |

The Rolling Stones CD might have been "Forty Licks", a two-disc set of their biggest hits. There's also an earlier two-disc collection called "Hot Rocks" that features their most well-known songs from 1964 to 1971.

For a great Stones collection, it would be so worth your time to track down a comp called The Singles Collection. It came out in 1989 and has all of their 60's US and UK singles (both the A sides and the B sides, some of which handn't been availible on CD before). Its a three CD set and one of their best collections put out.

For the Rolling Stones you can also buy the excellent two disc set Hot Rocks 1964-1971. There is also the really good Jump Back: The Best of The Rolling Stones 1971-1993.
