On this date, in 1959, ABC unleashed Jay Ward's Rocky & His Friends,
featuring Bullwinkle J. Moose, no-goodniks Boris Badenov & Natasha Fatale, and genius dog Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman. Not to mention those wonderfully zany Fractured Fairy Tales. Happy 50th birthday, moose and squirrel!
