thanx for posting those links; I haven't seen either of those shows in YEARS, ever since they first were on. I had forgotten that David Letterman was a regular on the first one, and that Micheal Keaton was a regular on both of them.
I wish both series would come out on DVD. But I'm sure there would be a big problem with music. I read somewhere that that's why most of the variety shows aren't out on DVD.
I heard that that's what's been holding up a DVD release of the 1969 special "DICK VAN DYKE AND THE OTHER WOMAN".

Thanks for the comments, I love your "Dallas" quote. Huge fan of that show too, be sure to look at my channel for videos from that, as there are plenty of them!

I don't know much about Mary's Incredible Dream. What's the storyline of the show, and is it any good? Just curious!

It's basically Mary going through important events in history, it's mainly a musical type special. Very trippy is what I can say, possible the writed dropped acid on this special...LOL VERY fun though, if people are interested, I might could post a number or two.

Both variety shows were great. It came out at a time when that venue was fading. If those shows, especially the MTM Hour, they would had been a hit if it came on during the heyday of them.
