Hi Everyone,
I had this question about the Debra Poe story. Debra Poe was the convenience store clerk who worked the graveyard shift and was abducted on Feb. 4, 1990. I remember that it was theorized that her case was connected to the attacks on 2 other women. One woman was eventually found murdered, and the other, at the time, had also disappeared. I forgot the other vanished woman's name, but I am curious to know if there has been any update on her case? Was she (or her remains) ever discovered? I remember that she was pregnant when she disappeared, and she left behind a young child. The two possibly related cases also remind me of Angela Hammond's story, where it was theorized that, like with Debra Poe, her disappearance was linked to 2 other attacks, in which one woman named Trudy was abducted and discovered murdered shortly thereafter, and a woman named Cheryl Kenney had disappeared. I know that Cheryl Kenney's remains were discovered in 2000. (Forgot where i read it). I say all of this because I don't know if, like Cheryl Kenney, the pregnant woman was ever discovered years later and UM just didn't update it. I don't think she is listed on doe network or Charley Project? I know that Debra Poe is still missing but, being that it is almost 20 years and the circumstances of her case, I just don't think that she would be alive today. What do you think? I hope to return to the message board sometime this week but, if not, then happy early Thanksgiving to everyone!

Hi mah79, is this the case where the lady was held hostage in the car, and she cried for help to youngsters driving by that shes been robbed? That segment left a very deep impression to me.

Hi XiaoGuoPi,
Actually the Debra POe case was not the one you are thinking of. Debra Poe was a young, single woman who had moved to Florida, was working days at a local newspaper and nights at the store. She was hoping to buy a new house. I am posting the Charley Project link to her story below. I know the other case you are talking about, but i can't remember the woman's name. Eileen something? She was middle aged and working at the convenience store to afford clothes for her son. She was abducted and later found murdered. I think they caught her perpetrator (I remember he had a VERY scary composite). This story aired in the same broadcast as the Bishop Neuman and Anthonette Cayedito segments. So,Christmas 92. And crazytatsink, thank you so much for your information. Please accept my sincerest condolences and prayers for the loss of your mother. My thoughts go out to you and your family. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/p/poe_deborah.html |
