Sci-fi fans revolt over SyFy Channel's new comedy, even though no one's seen it yet - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Syfy announced a new animated comedy series, Outer Space Astronauts yesterday. In response, fans at the network's news site decided that enough was enough, and it was time for an intervention. Or, at least, lots of insults and complaints.

To be fair, Outer Space Astronauts may not sound like the most exciting new show we've seen this year — or even the most exciting new show we've seen from Syfy, considering Warehouse 13 and Stargate Universe's particular thrills — but we were kind of planning to wait to actually see a trailer at the very least before completely damning it to television hell.

They should stop naming cable channels since they don't stick to their mandate anyway. Just call them channel A, channel B, channel C etc.!!

I don't see the hoopla. It's a sci-fi show. Their tag line isn't 'The Home for Sci-Fi Drama'. SyFy is a station for sci-fi shows, drama or otherwise. I remember when they showed a 'Mork and Mindy' (a sitcom, btw) marathon a short time ago.

People should be upset over the fact that this station abandoned the great sci fi shows, and now shows nothing but garbage.
