Angry Why are we wasting so much time with these no-talent dorks for?????

I don't know about anyone else, but I for one hope to see in the year 2010 the beginning of the end of the constant news coverage of these no-talent so-called "celebs" who are famous just for being famous. Of course, I am talking about Octumom, Jon & Kate, Carrie Preajan (however the heck you spell her name), Sara Palin, Levi Johnston, Paris Hilton, the Kardashians and, more than anything else -- THE DEATH OF REALITY TELEVISION ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!! I am just so up-to-here with always picking up a magazine, or newspaper, or turning on the television and seeing these useless pieces of crap all over the place! I for one could care less about stupid Jon and Kate Gosselin's BS!! I could care less about some "Baby-Daddy" posing nude for Playgirl!! I could care less about some airhead "Miss America" and her conservative views!! Whatever happened to REAL CELEBRITIES???? Like movie stars! The only thing even remotely referring to movies we seem to hear about these days has to do with that stupid "Twilight" CRAP!!!! I did go to see the first movie with some friends and HATED IT!!!!! "True Blood" is much better!! "Twilight" is basically "Harry Potter"-meets-"Highschool Musical"-meets-"Melrose Place"-meets-"Gossip Girl" with monsters!! And I could care less about who's having a baby, who's cheating on who and all that BS!! Man, no wonder so many people are struggling to get their movies seen!! Because it's either all about "Twilight", or it's about some stupid fame-hungry "celebrity", or it's about some stupid reality TV CRAP!!!! Enough is enough already!!

see that's the problem though - NO-ONE actually wants to watch this crap, but we're in a recession and those networks are getting hit hard by the success of all those cable channels so they can't aford to pay for things like writers or actors or souls.

i think they have some sort of mind-altering-hypno-mumbo-jumbo in there that gets people addicted to watching the crap and we need to get someone wearing a tinfoil hat to get in there fast and shut them DOWN.

No one is forcing you to watch television or read magazines or any of that. If it bothers you that much, don't seek it out. I personally don't see why any of that is worth having a colossal cow over.

I agree with JT that you don't have to be bombarded by media you don't like 24/7. Sure, some of it sneaks through, but you can change the channel, not buy whatever they are selling, and do something new.

...or do what I'm doing - write your own novel, avoid watching TV and movies altogether (except for live sports and news shows), hope it gets published and, maybe, one day, you'll see it on TV (at least that's what I'm hoping!)

I don't know who half of those people are.

And I have to agree with MickeyMac about Sarah Palin not deserving to be on your list. You may not like her, but she did become governor of Alaska and vice president candidate, so I wouldn't compare her to a reality show celebrity.

I miss traditional sitcoms but since the hipsters are out of work, they want to sit around watching Office, 30 Rock and Arrested Development reruns all day.

I agree about people's personal lives being on the front of every magazine. I don't buy them. I just look them over and see what stupid stuff is inside. That's probably my biggest beef on the issues you stated. I have beef about the others, too. But not as much. And I like Sarah Palin. lol.

I don't have cable anymore and I still can't get away from these fake celebs. I'm tired of hearing about them too, you can't escape it when it's on the homepage of yahoo even if you don't read the article it's still there in front of your face. I agree with dakert and I watch my classic tv dvds.

anyone that says "if you don't like it just turn the channel" is living in a dream world and totally missing the point - how can you turn the channel when EVERY channel is bombarding us with these idiots and their BS 24-7 ?

that's why we have you tube for example. i agree though- we have a choice whether or not to watch those shows, movies, celebs.

personally speaking, i think it has gotten much worse and as it has become saturated and aimed at the kiddies and teens today, ad opposed to those of us aged 21 and over.

tv sucks nowadays for the exception of afew shows, and despite some good records, music has well and truly gone downhill as well as the movies.

i too am fed up of the miley cyrus, twilight stuff- never understood the hype of twilight and that tyler guy.

I'm ok with the Twilight kids but those movies get too much coverage. The ones I can't stand are reality show people like Heidi and Spencer, Jon and Kate and the Kardashians. When Jon and Kate's show started they seemed ok but eventually their true colors came out. Speidi and the Kardashians are basically famous for being associated with famous people. Spencer's dad only knew famous people because of his dental practice. Heidi has no talent at all as a singer. She auditioned for American Idol back in 2004 and actually made it to Hollywood but was cut the first day. Even Anderson Cooper said she didn't deserve to be on TV.
The Kardashians are also wealthy people with connections. Kim, Bruce Jenner and Rob seem ok most of the time. I can't stand Kris, Khloe and Kourtney.
