Heart Owl City

OMG, I discovered this band by accident and now I am in love!!! Gee, I bet you couldn't tell from my signature and avatar, right? I stumbled upon the song "Firefly" and after only one verse I was completely hooked! I looked up their other songs on Youtube and now I can't stop listening to them! I see that they have two CD's out and I'm going to buy both as soon as possible! All the comments on Youtube say that because there is only one singer it isn't a band, but it's all the same to me! I figured if Adam Young had wanted to be considered solo he would have just called himself Adam Young instead of Owl City.

Are any of you fans of Owl City? I could listen to them all day!!! His voice is so soothing!

owl city is like....the opposite of emo. the point of his music is actually to make you happy, its just uplifting and calming. i can see what you mean about the voice though and usually it annoys me too but for some reason it doesnt bother me with owl city, maybe cause hes singing happily and not just whining about crap.

I admit it, I'm obsessed. I actually found out about them through my favorite author, Kristin Hannah. She wrote a book called "Firefly Lane" and now she refers to her readers as "fireflies". She put a link to the Owl City song "Firefly" on her blog and I was literally hooked after listening to it once. I seriously cannot stop listening to it! I think it's SUCH an amazing song! I'm going to buy both of their CD's since Deepdiscount.com is having a 30% off sale. I seriously don't think I've ever gone this nuts over a song before!!!!

I have been trying to get this song out of my head and when I went to Barnes and Noble tonight, they were playing the whole album! Kind of cool, actually since I just ordered it from Deep Discount.com and wasn't sure if I was going to like it.
