I have this movie, if it is the same....

Meteor (1979): When a comet collides with an asteroid, sending a 5-mile-wide piece of rock toward Earth, a renegade scientist (Sean Connery) proposes blowing the rock out of the sky using a secret nuclear weapon. But the Americans need the Russians (led by Natalie Wood) to help save humanity. Will Cold War hostility thaw in time to rescue the world?
