Hi people.
Since most of the topics on top are mentioned and discussed for many times, I thought I would start another topic that hasn't been mentioned on these boards. Does anyone have any theories or speculation about what happened to the Amtrak train that derailed in Arizona. I tried to search on this forum and on newspapers, but I had no results.

I wonder if this could have been an employee who was peeved at the railroad? The police/feds seemed to think the letters found were a red herring. At least that was mentioned in the segment.

2. I think the group would have done other acts than just the derailment. Especially since they haven't been caught yet. 3. Derailment is a pretty easy thing to do if you have enough knowledge of trains and how they work. 4. I think this guy was a former railroad employee who knew about the previous crash and wanted to make a personal statement. The Sons of Gestapo probably means that this person has some racist views that he's been harboring. 5. I think the reason this guy hasn't been found is that he worked for a railroad company that is far from Arizona. Heck he may work for NYC Metro North. 6. I wonder if the Kingston militia that Timothy McVeigh was part of can be linked to this guy? |

I have been looking for further info about this recently. I seem to recall the basis for rail employee theories- no average Joe could figure it supposedly- but, nope, never seemed to pan out. One newspiece in my local (Southern Nevada) paper said that investigators were chasing down subscribers to a train hobbyist magazine, I think? Anyone know more about that? |

But as for the train derailment, I haven't seen the segment in so long I don't remember much about it, but from what has been posted here, it sounds like an ex-employee and not a terrorist. |
