Default the episode "How to be popular"

I was watching this episode on DVD the other night (I rented the first 2 discs from Netflix) and; in the scene where Kathy's talking to a boy and New York city's in the background, I found myself thinking "BOY, how different that background is by now"!!!!

Just a random thought; because I'm so bored!

OK, by-eee!!!

I just watched this episode and I noticed a kind of funny audio mistake.

About ten minutes into the episode, Martin, Natalie and Ross are sitting in the living room when Patty walks in from the kitchen. Afterwords she leaves to go to bed. The weird thing is, before she showed up and after she left there is the audio sound of a door closing. The door to the kitchen is a swinging door and there is no door from the living to the stairs, so what doors are closing? I guess the audio guy wasn't familiar with the Lane house.

Well as someone who doesn't live all that far from it - the Brooklyn promenade in the Heights looks real...but that crackerjack advice from Aunt Jane sure was no help to Cathy (perhaps Aunt Jane was on mary jane????/wacky weed) anyways everything works out AOK for Cath in the end with that WIIIILD dance.

Btw, I noticed this ep was shorter than the others - it looks like the ending was cut off - at least to me - your take???????

The front door of the Lane's home where Cathy answers the door to talk with one of Patty friends the area looks more like a back alleyway. I guess The E-type Jag gave the area that rich look.. Anyway I loved this episode our Cathy trying to be popular She will always be popular in my book..

I always thought the front of the Lane house was weird. It seemed like a warehouse and there was a parkway across the street. Out of curiosity I Googled "Brooklyn Heights" images and there were scenes that looked exactly like where the Lanes lived. Remsen Drive acutally exists!

I am from the west coast, so we don't have homes like that. Are they Brownstones?

Many are. Brooklyn Heights is probably the nicest and most expensive area of Brooklyn & it is charming and pretty - although there are many other equally nice places in the outer boroughs (like Forest Hills, Bay Ridge, Park Slope, Astoria - to name just a few) - just that they are further out - part of Bklyn Hgts claim to fame is that it is literally just a stone's throw from Manhattan where prices go through the roof!

Sometimes when they open that front door I see those tall buildings like (almost) the Brooklyn clock on Atlantic avenue.

They do live in a beautiful part of Brooklyn.

I remember we could see the World trade center from there.

I love the promenade and I haven't been there in years. I use to take my son to play in the play yard. It was such a beautiful area.
