Hey, if you can get it cheaper than the funeral homes would charge, why not?

That's a good point.

Buying caskets from the Funeral Home is the biggest rip-offs going. The mark-up is outrageous. They play on the emotions of grieving people, who feel guilty if they don't buy the best. Some Funeral places will only let you purchase caskets from them. I'm all for a free market.

Overstock.com has sold caskets online for as long as I can remember, also.

Hmm... 10% discount on caskets for my family... *rimshot*

Slightly morbid, but funeral prices are outrageous so if people want to save money I say go for it. It's not like the occupant is going to notice a difference.

I reiterate:

Seriously though, I kind of wish I'd known about getting caskets and things online when my dad died because the funeral home I went to COMPLETELY ripped me off and cheated me out of a lot of much needed money after his death. I think it's a disgrace the way that funeral homes do that to people and really take advantage of them and their emotions while they're in the most vulnerable period of their lives. I say that if Wal-Mart can whip their ass, let 'em! They totally deserve it!

I didn't mean it THAT way! it was more of a "hey, I work there, so my family members can save even more getting one through me!" thing.
