Missing some certain special people.

Okay....... I'm going to tell you the truth. I still cannot believe that Michael Jackson is dead. Sure I go on with my life but yesterday seeing the
"This is it" previews on TV I'm still in shock that he died. He came out when I was a young girl. With the Jackson 5. I saw this transformation of him changing from the little boy into a grotesque man. He did have such a talent though. and he's gone. Sniff.......

Then I remember Princess Diana.......

Then President Kennedy, John Lennon

Soupy Sales.... My childhood is no longer alive without these people.

Don't get me wrong I'm a happy go lucky sort of person but seeing the people that I grew up watching and loving are just dying. So many of them. I could go on and on and on. Life is too short. I just miss them.

I know just what you mean. The older I get, the more stars that I grew up
watching leave this world. It is sad when a favorite who was blessed with
a long life (e.g., Bob Hope or George Burns, who each reached 100); it is even
more tragic when a talented life is cut short, for whatever reason (e.g., John
F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, or Michael Jackson). Still, when one
is in the limelight, there is a wealth of films and recordings to keep him or her
"alive." Someone said that as long as we're remembered, we never really die.
So, celebrate all that they gave us while they were here. In that way, they
will always be "immortal."

That is a wonderful point! I agree that when people are celebrities and have done recordings or films, that they will still gain fans years after they are gone. It's hard for me to believe that Michael Jackson is gone as well. Come to think of it, also Princess Diana. Obviously I didn't know either of them so it kind of feels like they are just out of the spotlight, and not gone forever.
