Solomon, please get away from baseball, because you make no sense. C.C. is a choker? Yeah he was 3-0 in the playoffs until tonight and the MVP of the ALCS. C.C. was not the problem tonight. He only gave up 2 runs. Lee outdueled him.

Sabathia gave up 2 runs in 6 innings.
Not exactly a horrific performance- the offense didn't do their part. |

The Phills have averaged 6 runs per game in the postseason prior to the world series (55 runs in 9 games by my count).... and they scored 6 last night. CC pitched well (he pitched 7 innings, not 6, and gave up 2 runs to Utley...I mean, to the Phillies), the Yanks offense was nowhere to be found. Only 6 hits, 3 of those from Jeter...and NO walks by Lee.
I think Utley could win the governorship of Pennsylvania at this point, if he wanted to take the pay-cut. For the Phill's sake, let's hope he sticks to baseball. Congratulations to the Phillies...one down, three to go. And congratulations to the Yankees... none down, four to go. Jeepers, now that the Phillies won game one, starting Pedro in game two really doesn't seem to be as much of a gamble as it was when the move was announced. I like this matchup on paper, I hope it goes 7, because the two best teams are here. |

Unless I need eye surgery did he not give up two homeruns??? Those homeruns set the tone for the game. And tonight the Yankees are getting of to another bad start and down 1-0 but it's still early. I feel that in order for any team to have a shot in beating the Phillies they had to win game 1. |

Tonight's game seems really slow, considering it's just 1-0. |

And the Yanks take game 2! A.J. was marvelous! Series tied at 1. And Pedro limps out of the game like usual vs. the Yankees in the playoffs. That 7th inning reminded me of that game in 2003, even though the Yankees got screwed tonight with that terrible call in that inning. Pedro falls to 1-3 vs. the Yankees in the playoffs in his career. Coming into the game his ERA was 4.72 vs. them. |
