Season 6 no longer available on Amazon - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just went on Amazon looking for Season 6 and there's a message that says "This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer". I can't believe it! What does that mean? I know that new & used sets are available by other sellers, but why not Amazon? Is that a bad sign that season 7 will never be released?

Don't freak out - yet. The same thing happened to the first season of "Little House on the Prairie." I freaked out and bought it at Sam's Club a couple weeks ago. Now Amazon.com is selling it again.

Yeah, I have never understood that either. There was a videogame I wanted and then I saw that message at Amazon and freaked out and bought it in a store right away. About a month later it was for sale again at Amazon and still is.

What is discontinued is the Season 6 set in the original packaging. The first 6 seasons are now sold in compact cases and are available on Amazon.
