Michael Highman, 43, of Upper Arlington, is a teacher and boys basketball coach at Weaver Middle School. Authorities say he surrendered Monday through his attorney at the U.S. District Court in Columbus. The investigation is ongoing.

"It's one of the largest finds we've had around here in a long time," Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Hunter said. "It's the biggest that I've seen and some experience investigators also say it's the biggest collection that they've seen."

Most of the images depict prepubescent teenage boys engaged in sexual acts and explicit poses, Hunter said.

In a statement, the school district said it does not believe any students are involved in the allegations.

Highman is on paid administrative leave and remains under house arrest.

He faces one count of distribution and one count of possession of child pornography. Conviction on both charges could carry up to 30 years imprisonment and would require Highman to register as a sex offender.

Why the hell would you want that much porn...especially where the fruit is still green if you know what I mean!

And you thought Michael Jackson was bad...forgive me for saying that, since he's dead and all.

Thanks. I also seem to remember Pete Townshend (The Who) was busted for child porn about 5-6 years ago.

He was a little different.

What happened was that his credit card was found accessing a website that was used to promote child porn. He claimed he was doing research for anti-child porn purposes.

No evidence was found and he was formally warned by the authorities about accessing that website and he had to register as a sex offender for five years which expired about a year ago. No jail sentence.

OK, thanks. I remember Jay Leno did quite a few jokes about the situation at that time. He'd start to sing "see me, feel me" and call him Pete "The Kids Are Alright" Townshend.
