Default San Diego Chargers comments

Okay, after a day of reading angry posts by fans on the boards I go to.... I think this is AJ's, Norv's, Ron's and the players fault that we are where we are.

The fact that Denver just looks so damn good, I don't know what it is but I hope it doesn't last long so we can bolt to get the AFC West crown from them...

There is a part of me that doesn't want to see Norv go because I'm scared of who the next HC will be and if he will actually get the team on notice. I really feel that AJ should have gotten some free agents and dipped very deep in it because Denver has 7 new starters....

Some posters think that Norv has lost his team but then, you can't expect a coach to be a babysitter though. I don't agree with the play call sometimes but I really wish that LT handled it better because around the league, there might be some who call him a baby for throwing his helmet and stuff. I'm hoping they get their acts together against KC but even if we do make the playoffs, Chargers really need to maybe get a new coach and DC and OC.

Some coaching suggestions have been made and some are scarier than Norv since the fans want either Cowher, or Jaurgon, or someone who is kinda like Marty. But I don't know what will happen though, I do think that maybe we need to make some player changes on the lines, defense and maybe a new OC and DC....

It's not over.

Even if they don't catch Denver, they can still get a Wild-Card.

Even though the Bengals and Steelers aren't undefeated..

Norv is a great OC but he's just not a good HC. The Chargers have regressed since he's been in charge. They might rally again and make the playoffs as a WC team but it will be hard for them to reach the SB. Bill Cowher is a great coach. He'd be my first choice for Dallas and I think he'd do well in SD. I don't know if your GM wants a strong head coach though. He might want someone he can control which is why he picked Norv in the first place. He and Jerry Jones have a lot in common.

Yeah, no kidding... Marty and AJ couldn't mesh so most of the names that have come up like Cowher, Shanahan, Holmgren have been crossed out...

Lots of names have popped up with the coaching ideas... I don't see Cowher coming here since he is friends with Marty...

Some of the coaches have been fired or are having bad seasons so it's like I'd rather have Norv then those guys..

Is Wade a disciplinarian? Do players come to meetings late and slack off? We have a problem with that even though I don't think Norv needs to be babysitting these guys.

One poster in particular has stated, they are worried that AJ might get Marv Levy or even Wade.. I'd rather have Norv than Wade..

Well I would too now. lol I actually wanted Wade over Norv at one time but really I didn't like either one. Norv is a great OC and Wade is a great DC but neither are good head coaches. Wade isn't a disciplinarian. He lets players do whatever they want. The team plays sloppy because he doesn't believe in practicing hard. They don't even practice tackling in training camp which is why it takes until November for our defense to get in shape. He's a nice guy that wants to be friends with his team but that doesn't make a good HC.

I hope AJ knows this... That's the problem with Norv.. He's not a disciplinarian and the players are late to meetings and stuff...

Coaching is like a double edge sword.. If you get a screamer like Marty or Cowher, Rex Ryan, they don't last very long sometimes...

If you get a coach like Norv or even Wade and even Tony has been mentioned, depending on the situtation, they suck..

I was really hoping that San Diego would have won on Monday night. That was a good game... until the end that is!

If winners could be picked soley by uniforms, San Diego would win by a landslide! Those Broncos uniforms are horrible!

Jason Garrett of the Cowboys..

What is he like? Is he a firey type guy? Or is he like Wade?

One of the Charger fans has mentioned him even though I did post to them if he was the one who got in trouble with the steroid issue.

lol, true! Those have to be the worst looking football uniforms I've ever seen, throw-back or not. Those are the worst at any level...high school, college or NFL!

It's amazing that one lucky play can be the turning point of a team's season. Is denver still talked about today as a AFC elite if they don;t get that lucky win in week 1? Football is a funny game

He's not as popular with Cowboy fans as he used to be. He isn't a firey type of guy either. I've never seen him use any emotion at all.
