Is it true that season 8 has cuts? I was considering purchasing it mainly for the Patty Duke ending, but I heard that's not even on the disk.

I have Seasons 1-7 so far.

If you want the unedited S8, get the german set.
I know three codas are removed (Patty Duke, Milton Berle in drag, Tiny Tim playing ukulele) and one song is altered (in halloween episode) on the american sets.

Do the German sets play in region 1 and choice of language? I always wanted to collect Roseanne dvd sets, but can't justify it with some of the seasons edited! (Season 1, 7 & 8)

Set your DVD player to region free.. almost all DVD players are able to. The default language is usually english. Seasons 1, 8 and 9 are unedited in Germany.
