In defense of the Pats, why not?! The defense isn't stopping them, so what are they suppose to do?! You have to make statements like that. I am no a Pats fan, but I do like and admire Tom Brady.

Its no big deal, I'm not a fan of either team. i just found it odd they were still passing the ball instead of trying to run the clock out.

Yeah it's pointless, up 59-0 on a winless team and you are still trying to score.

If you go for a field goal at that distance, it's pretty much an automatic three points. If you go for it on 4th down, and the other team stops you, that's that. It allows the defense to save face if they can pull out the stop.

All Tennessee had to do was mount SOMETHING, on offense or defense. What I saw today - and I saw the whole game start to finish by virtue of being in the Nashville market - was one of the most anemic football performances of all time.

Had Belichick been DELIBERATELY been trying to run up the score you wouldn't have seen the offensive AND defensive players get subbed out in the THIRD quarter. The problem wasn't the actions of New England, it's that Tennessee was today, and has been all season, THAT terrible. They're in a horse race with the Rams and Bucs as the worst team in the NFL bar none and right now they're my vote. At least the Rams had a close one against Jacksonville today.

Hell, the score SHOULD have been 61-0 but the refs gave the Titans a save by not calling an obvious safety.

Default Oh please

Belichick took Brady out in the beginning of the third quarter. The backup QB only scored 7 points after Brady left. What do you expect them to do, fall asleep, give the Titans points maybe? Is this Pop Warner or the NFL? They could have scored 90 points if they wanted to pile it on. The Pats set three records, in a snowstorm, no less. Still jealous haters.

You want to talk no class, with that trash mouth of yours. Give me a break! Your team crapped their pants today, just like they did in the Superbowl, with McNabb puking his nervous guts out. I'll say it before you start in with your broken record. The Pats are nothing but ****** cheaters. Brady ***** sucks, Belichick ***** sucks, the Pats **** sucks. Give it a rest.

Here are my thoughts:

1. No lead is safe. In the Chargers/Steelers game two weeks ago, Pittsburgh almost blew a 28-point lead in the fourth quarter. You can't sit on a lead and give the other team a chance to creep back in.

2. It's not New England's fault Tennessee can't play pass defense. In football, when the opponent has a weakness, you have to exploit it. The Titans are so terrible against the pass, I think anyone on this site could put up big numbers against them.

3. Bounceback. After what happened in Denver last week, New England needed to bounce back. There have been many instances where Team A loses to Team B in painful fashion, then bounces back to beat Team C.

Seth, I read your post to my husband. He told me to thank you for your insightful, fair and in-depth analysis of today's game. He said you watched the same game that he did. He told me to tell you that he couldn't have said it better himself, and great job.

P.S. Two things that caught my eye in this game:

1. The weather. I love games played in the snow and unique weather.

2. The old-school New England uniforms.

aw, did I ruffle your feathers? The Pats got caught cheating. How is that a foul mouth? It's a FACT. It's called Spygate. But somebody doesn't want to accept or understand that. That somebody being you. Yeah at least we got to the Superbowl without cheating. Matt Walsh, he admitted he taped the Rams before the Superbowl, in which they won, so it gives me reason to believe they did it vs. Philly and Carolina as well. They probably did it vs. the Giants and still couldn't muster up a perfect season. It's like Barry Bonds. He has 762 home runs, and is the home run king, but he cheated to the top. Same with New England. Not only are they cheaters, but they have no class on top of it. So what if Brady was taken out? He was taken out when it was 59-0. That doesn't mean anything. You take him out when it's 28/35-0, not when it's an ass whooping like that. Even if Tennessee did nothing to show up last night, New England could of ended it 24 points before they did. That's called- no class or respect for the league.
