Is game show announcer Gene Wood (Family Feud - Combs) still alive?

Gene Wood is still alive. He is now retired from announcing game shows, but he did quite a lot in the past. Family Feud, both Ray Combs and Richard Dawson versions, as well as Super Password, Password Plus, Card Sharks and I am sure much more than that. These are just the ones off the top of my head.

Gene Wood did the Ross Shafer version of "Match Game" in the early 90s (probably one of his last jobs before retiring). I also remember him filling in on "Price is Right" immediately after Johnny Olsen died.
