Hi All,
I am a HUGE TPIR fan! Love the fact that Bob Barker's contract has been extended for another 5 years some questions I have: 1. Has there ever been a show where all three contestants won $11,000 in the Showcase Showdown? 2. What stands as the top winner in TPIR history?-most money won (not counting special edition shows) 3. What's the most expensive prize ever offered on Golden Road and was it won? 4. Has there ever been a time where BOTH contestants where $250 or less away from their own showcases (or $100 or less in the old version?) 5. What happens if both contestants would miss the price of their showcase by the exact same amount? (Without going over) Would a tie go to the top winner? 6. What's the most amount of money won in Plinko? 7. What do you think is the 1 game that is the hardest? The easiest? I think the hardest game is Golden Road. The easiest is One Right Price. (I heard that the new Triple Play game is hard to win, but haven't seen it often enough to make a judgment 8. What games do they no longer have that you wished they'd bring back? (I miss the Hurdles Game! That was pretty cool!) Jack |

I'm gonna answer every one I know
2. Danielle Torres (I think that was her name) won a little over $88,000 on a 1992 Ep. 3. A $75,000 Dodge Viper I think last year.... 4. Several times. (NOTE: If that happens, whoever is closer wins both and the other wins nothing) 6. As far as the aired eps, $22,000. However, I URGE you to watch the 30th season premeire in September. The above will be broken (I won't say how much though) 7. Easiest (In My Opinion): Double Prices. Hardest: I got 2 answers. In a way, Plinko. NO ONE has ever won the max amount. However, overall, I'd say Triple Play. 8. Superball, Super Saver, Walk of Fame And you didn't ask, but I gotta add this. I wish they'd retire Ten Chances and Secret X. |

I wonder why they retired THE PHONE HOME GAME? It was becoming as popular as PLINKO(so I thought)

I'm not sure EXACTLY, but here's some stuff:
IT was yet another facet in the gig Goodson had goin in thne mid 80s to put viewers at home in the action (Play Along, PHG, Home Viewer Showcase, etc). By the time that drawed to a close, that promo was pretty much over, so..... Plus, you gotta remember. MGP (Mark Goodson Productions) had to pay the phone bill for that thing. With some of them calls to all across the country, the bill can run high. Also, imagine if the telephone line went down on EITHER END right in the middle of the game. (Even with edits.....). |

Yeah, they DID phase out the PLAY ALONGS, and all the things that involve HOME VIEWERS, LONG TIME AGO, because, I saw the PLAY ALONGS,on GAME SHOW NETWORK, when the station had PRICE IS RIGHT in reruns, from the late 1970's to mid-1980's, and I realized that they no longer have that on the new shows
