Jonathan Jackson to return to 'General Hospital' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

ABC announced that Emmy-winning actor Jonathan Jackson will return to General Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Jackson, an audience favorite from his days playing Lucky, will reprise his role as the son of super-soap-couple Luke and Laura Spencer. His story line will involve a love triangle with his ex-wife Elizabeth and his brother, Nikolas. “We are very excited to welcome Jonathan back to Port Charles,” says executive producer Jill Farren Phelps. “His return will be sure to captivate the audience and be pivotal to this ongoing love story between some of the show’s most popular characters.”

In addition to GH, Jackson has appeared in such films as The Deep End of the Ocean, Tuck Everlasting, and on the TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

This is good news. Jonathan was the only "Lucky" IMO. It would be nice to see him with Genie Frances and Tony Geary again. I loved his relationship with Elizabeth, but I didn't realize that they had gotten married. I pretty much stopped watching after he left. Is it going to be the same Elizabeth or someone else?

Hm... wonder what prompted his GH return? Seemed like he had a good movie career going but maybe he'll do both. He's a great actor.

Yes, Becky Herbst has been the only and only Elizabeth (since 1997).

And she gets prettier every day, yes I admit I have watched General Hospital for 31 years now.....the only daytime drama on my guilty pleasures TV list.

I still clearly remember the episode where she and Lucky first met. She was (GASP) smoking and called Aunt Ruby a buzzard!!
