Default "COMMUNITY"

my cousin produces this show, and he says he's glad it's not getting good ratings and he hopes it gets cannceled because he hates it, and he says that Chevy Chase is "a really mean, nasty S.O.B."

He also produced "THAT 70s SHOW" and says some of that cast was the same way.

I actually only watched the show for Donald Glover at first but like it now. If your cousin produces the show dish the dirt man!

by most accounts chevy is not the nicest man on the planet that being said however i do have to tell you one thing that bothers me is the hatered for chevy on saturday night live message borads i mean people who say that chevy should never be anywhere near snl ever again and other things when to me all snl fans today owe a certan amount of thanks to chevy regardless of his shortcomings because he was the first breakout star of the show and the one who got all the press that first year and got everone to tune in every saturday night to see what the big deal was he may be a huige jerk but all snl fans need to think about the fact that if he had not helped get it off the ground in 1975 there may not still be an snl today or a daily show or any of the other snl imatators good and bad that people watch because there would have been no snl to imitate

Default I don't understand it, 'treky'...

...if your cousin is one of the eighteen or more producers on "COMMUNITY", why did he accept the job in the first place? {You think I'm kidding? These days, I see credits for at least six "executive [or co-executive] producers", and more "producers", "co-producers", "supervising producers", "friend(s) of the producer", "brother-in-law of the producer", "accountant(s) of the producer", "call girl(s) of the..." WOOPS! How'd that get in there? }. It couldn't have been the money [NBC: "We need you! Take the job!! Here's a million dollars as a retainer..."/YOUR COUSIN: "But I don't want the- {mouth is stuffed full of money} uggglemummmph...."/NBC: "We knew you'd agree! Be on the set tomorrow morning...or we'll see to it you never work in television again! Happy ratings..."].

you know; that's something that I've always wondered about.
I plan to e-mail him and ask him that, when I do I'll post the answer on here.

I agree, but so far, I'm still watching. It better improve really fast. Chevy is my favorite character I guess, but I was never a fan of his as it is.

Finally stopped watching Community.

Wow, surprising to read all the negative comments, but I agree with all of you. Never have been able to stand Chevy Chase but I did watch an episode of this because I love Joel McHale. Ugh... hated the show, which was a major disappointment. Totally unfunny and way to raunchy for my taste. I'm happy that, being from Seattle, Joel is successful and all, but I wish this show had been better (and without Chevy Chase). Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like Chevy.

well, I finally got an answer-not from him, but from my mother who talked with him a couple weeks ago.
He says that NBC has renewed the show, but he's not gonna do it anymore.

Well, I'm still watching. There's something about this quirky show that keeps me watching. I like the personalities of the characters, although I think Britta is the most boring & I wish they'd greatly decrease having every storyline revolve around her. But, if the show suddenly stopped right now, I wouldn't cry about it.
