my thoughts on the eagles bucs game - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It was a weird game today to be at... The eagles defense was on the field for the entire first half because of the eagles quick strike offense BANG BANG MACLIN!!!!!

The Bucs are just awful, but with that said I think they have found a real winner in Josh Johnson.. That young man can play this game... He really impressed me today..

Anyhoo It was a really weird game today where you got the feeling the bucs were trying to lull the eagle fans to sleep... After the eagles made it 14-0 after a total of like 5 plays on offense for the game.. The bucs began a drive on their own 16... eagles appear to stop them... oh wait there is a flag... holding eagles first down bucs.. 3 plays later the eagles again appear to stop them & another flag...That pattern continued for this entire drive... Some of the calls were insanely bad my friends...

The long and short of it is as follows: 5 came back and looked like he never left... 1st pass a bomb to Maclin for a TD.. Great Job by my man Mcnabb...

That brings me to Jeremy Maclin... I was thrilled when they drafted this kid & i think he is going to be a very special reciever & today he showed me & the rest of the league that he has arrived.. 6 catches nearly 150 yds & 2 tds!

I am really starting to worry about my teams offensive line... They cant run block for s*it.... The eagles at this moment in time are a purely one dimensional team... you can get away with that against the bucs..But your sure as hell cant against the better teams in the league... They dont open up any holes what so ever for westbrook to run thru.. Mccoy had a few nice runs today but overall I would say it was 85/25 pass to run today,... I know the eagles play to their strength but that is insane....

Defense has a few leaks in my opinion... I am pretty happy with the front 4.. and I am fairly happy with the line backers but the free safety position scares the daylights out of me.. Macho harris is not the answer there...NOT IN ANY WAY.. Kellen Winslow made him look foolish today...

I am happy with samuel and BRown as well as quinten Mikel... Just eleiminate the dumb penalties and I think they will be ok

It was a ho hum type of effort today at the linc... Exciting early maclins 2 tds, then the bucs tried to put us all to sleep & then it picked up int he 3rd quarter & the eagles took care of business

Side note.. Michael Vick was booed BAdly all afternoon and I loved every minute of it....

3-1 is exactly where I thought they would be after 4 games & i fully expect to be 5-1 when the giants come down the pike on the 1st of Nov...

A win is a win... It is clearly a 2 horse race in the nfc east

Let me also say how much I hate the " wild eagle " offense... Whenever Michael Vick comes into the game it brings our offense to a screeching and I mean a screeching halt...

Maclin's performance today is exactly why I knew he'd be a great draft pick.

I told you and Wreckless this guy would be a draft steal ala DeSean Jackson.

Yes you did & you got no arguments from me!!! I loved him at missouri last year... He is a talented talented kid with worlds of potential... The eagles have and will have a dominant offense for years and years now!

Sol he wasnt on the field much in the first 2 weeks... He was a bit behind the 8 ball cause he held out longerr than he should have... the past 2 weeks when he has actually played he has looked awesome!!!! He is only going to get better!!! I really like him alot.. He is such a good kid too... He comes by and sheakes all the fans hands before the game.. Very few of them do that anymore!!!

Yeah, I know.. But I thought he was healthy enough to even start and I don't think he was on the injury list either.

Believe me, they are going to bench him 11 out of 10 times when he's injured, and we are facing a team like Tampa Bay, or Oakland. He needs all the rest he can get.
