Madderest DAMN THIS YEAR 2009 TO HELL!!!

I AM FURIOUS! I GOT A DRIVERS LICENSE, BUT NO CAR! I GOT A JOB, BUT NO MONEY! I LIVE IN A CITY THAT HAS THE WORST SPORTS TEAMS AND BAD NEWS OUTSIDE OF DETROIT AND GOD HASN'T EVEN HEARD MY PRAYERS!!!

I THOUGHT THIS YEAR WOULD BE A GOOD YEAR, BUT NOW MY PARENTS OWE ME $3300 AND I'LL NEVER SEE THAT MONEY, MY GRANDMA IS GOING PSYCHO (I LOVER HER, BUT EVER SINCE SHE HIT 90, IT WAS GOING DOWNHILL), MY PARENTS ARE UNHAPPY, AND I HAVE TO TIGHTEN MY BELT MORE SO. IT SEEMS THAT THINGS GET WORSE BEFORE THEY GET ANY BETTER...IF THEY EVER...

AND...IT'S GOD'S FAULT! HE GAVE ME AUTISM, HE PUT ME IN CLEVELAND, HE GIVES ME SOUR LEMONS, AND NOW I WILL BE SEEING A FORTUNE-TELLER NEXT WEEK AND MAYBE THE GYPSY CAN CRY ABOUT MY STORY. I KNOW I'M DOING THIS......BUT ALL THIS YEAR HAS BEEN HELL AND GOD WON'T HELP ME!!!

Look I'm not going to tell you what/what not to believe in but I will say this... DO NOT GO TO SOME CRAP STORE-FRONT FORTUNE TELLER.

It is pointless to throw away money at them. Let me tell you, they live off of people who are down or who "want answers" and keep raping their wallets for more information. I know how those people work.

Do not go there.

I'm sorry...I'm really venting here. I ask God to heal my wounds, but he's just adding salt to them. I see a counselor, but I can't seem to change.

I can understand your fustrations and it looks like you have had a rough time, but God is not out to get you or destroy, our Lord dosent work that way. You have to keep praying, keep believing, and have faith. All you need is faith of a child and God can get you through anything, but you gotta stick with him.

You need to stop blaming God and other people for your situation and you have to MAKE yourself change! Find a new counselor. Learn to put a little money aside each week to save for a car. Become a Red Sox fan. Do whatever it takes. Whining is not going to help.

Only you can make a change. Life is not an easy road and just because things seem bad doesn't mean it's going to last.

I know it sounds cliche but it's true. If you want it bad enough, make a strong effort, and surround yourself with support you will see an eventual change.

Fortune tellers are not the answer.

Well, I think genuine fortune tellers could be useful (I believe that sort of thing is possible) but unfortunately, there are many false ones, and it's not always easy to tell who is fake and who is genuine.

I would tend to agree here. I've researched a bunch of famous psychic people, the ones on TV and stuff (cause me sister believes that they're real), and I've found lots of scam and rumors about all of them. I don't believe that anyone can clearly see the future, or there wouldn't be so many hellish things still happening in this world... I mean, so many fortune tellers, and no one saw 9-11 coming?!? It's all a scam.

Anywho, Mr. Cleveland, sorry about your issues, and I know you're just venting. But for cryin out loud, you can't just expect God to drop a car in your driveway and a stack of money in your wallet. It doesn't freakin work that way! You have to save, pennies if you get 'em, cut back on everything but the necessities if you want a car. Sounds like you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food on your table. You should be on your knees right now thanking God that you have what you have, instead of complaining and blaming him about what you don't have.

I agree with others don't waste your money on a fortune teller. A lot of people today are going through tough times but they are keeping their heads up. Like beautifuldreamer and chocoholic said try to save money towards a car. It's not easy saving money but in the end it's worth it. Be grateful for what you have and keep working towards what you don't have. There are tons of things I dislike about the city I live in but I do try appreaciate the few good things that are in it. Maybe try doing the same.

^For all the posts above...I'm sorry that I've been on a vent-fest this year, but I thought there would be a light at the end of the tunnel...but it was just a train.

Example-This June, I got a car from my uncle and it was supposed to be my car, but my mom got into a minor car accident by someone who has no insurance and now the car is gone and I have no money to get a new one...neither does my family.

I pray for sunshine...but I got rain and I'm drowning in the cold rain.

I know it's none of my business, but if it was your car that was given to you, then why can't you be the one driving it? You're an adult, not a teenager.

I totally understand your venting and frustration, but you do need to understand that neither God or anybody else is going to hand you a car or whatever. You need to work for the things you want in life, just like the rest of us. You seem to have it very good compared to many people out there, even some of us at SO. Look at poor Jude, who in the span of several weeks lost his father and a good friend. Look at Cathie, who has been battling a brain tumor. Look at the members here who are dealing with illnesses and job loss and stuff. You should be on your knees thanking God for what you have, not blaming Him for what you don't.

I'm another one who won't be sorry to see 2009 go. The only really good thing that happened was the birth of my nephew.

christianity isn't my cup of tea, but theoretically, god isn't going to make a car magically appear on your driveway, or teleport you to another city. you need to work for that.

and while i'm sure some people can have paranormal perceptions of the future, don't trust any strangers, especially those looking for money. they use a dirty trick called cold reading, where they'll predict vague things that have a higher chance of happening than not. if they're right, you think "wow, he WAS a psychic!" and if they're wrong, oh well, no psychic has a 100% accuracy rate. frauds like sylvia browne and john edward do the same thing in their "readings."

I understand that that's how you feel, I just strongly believe that that kind of thing is real and possible. So whenever there's a discussion about it, I usually comment that in my opinion, this sort of thing is real, but there are also unfortunately a lot of people who try to fake it, so it's important to be careful.

I understand your view, but I entirely disagree. I've believed in this sort of thing for as long as I can remember. I've always found it interesting.
