Who is that recurring extra? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anyone know the name of that extra that's always in the soda shop, school etc. with the other guy's? I swear he's in like 20 of the 60 odd episodes. Examples: When Dwayne starts winning the football pool with his "system", Shirley rips the paper out of this extra's hand so Dwayne can make his picks. Also: When Shirley gets a call from her sister Norma who's taking the bus out to L.A he yells "Hey Shirley, telephone". I figure he HAS to be the son of the producer or something.

The guy with the permed hair. Looked like he may have been of mixed race. Yes, he was in almost every episode in the soda shop, but rarely had a line. Kind of like the kid that was the team manager on "The White Shadow". Always hanging around but no lines.
