It's been a little while since I posted regularly, but I just wanted to come on here and let you all know that - after about 7 months since I graduated from tech school in IT, I have finally landed a job. I start tomorrow 10/9 with an orientation where we have to watch training videos, then the real fun starts on Monday. I will be an IT Intern at a medical facility and the position is slated to last 6 months, but it could become permanent (I hope and pray so!). I will be doing a combination of PC support and network setups, with a little programming thrown in. All in all, I am looking forward to it. I know it has been awhile, but thank you all very much for your prayers.
These past 7 months since graduation have been nerve-wracking for me, to say the least. I was starting to get down to the wire on my unemployment with a few weeks left on my extension. I didn't know what was going to happen, but it has worked out, thankfully. |

Good for you, Steevo!!
Now that you got your foot in the door, you can show them what you're all about, and hopefully they'll make you permanent!! Good luck!!

Thank you, everyone. I must have cold-called and applied at least at 5-600 places over the 7-month time span as well as scoured all of the job boards (Careerbuilder, Dice, Indeed, ect.), updating resumes, tweaking cover letters to fit the certain situation, and taken more advice than perhaps I had in my entire life.
I just knew something had to give eventually.
