We may get a much better set this time around. According to a recent posting on the Shout! Factory website, it sounds like they've learned their lesson after Season 1...

I just wish there was news of extras. It would be nice if Valerie Harper could participate with a COMMENTARY OR INTERVIEW! But what I really want is the unedited version of the pilot with Mary seeing Rhoda off at the airport.

Of course it does. Scotsguy in the U.K., who taped the episodes uncut there has it.

However (and correct me if I'm wrong on this one), according to him, it was more of a "cold open" type of scene that took place before the opening credits started rolling. If that is true about the scene, then it must be the only time that the show had a cold open.

Why does Shout! have to learn its lesson(again) after a Season 1 release? They did that fiasco before with Father Knows Best!! they should know fans want uncut episodes!

I'm sure that by now they do. It's not like they made it out to seem like that fans only want edited syndicated episodes.

Not only that, but the picture quality of S1 was awful.

Sweet. Yes let's get the uncut eps this time, huh? (I'll still probably get the first set, and Scotsguy, can I still be on the list for the unedited eps. you found?) I still don't believe S1's quibbles was ALL Shout's fault, and at least they're responsive to our opinions and quick to continue the series.

I think I will post on Val's Twitter about appearing on bonuses. It may not mean anything, but hey, it's worth a try!

And can we PLEAAAAAASE have the Carlton cartoon as a bonus? MTM/Fox owns that too, right? (so it wouldn't be like them not being able to use the That Girl cartoon)

don't put words in my mouth.......I didn't say they did. I said that after the Father Knows Best experience, which angered a lot of fans, they would know not to do edited episodes. I know sometimes it can't be helped when the original uncut source no longer exists.

Runtime.. 570 min
570 / 24 eps = 23.75 min

so no.. yet again there will be some edited ones.
