Movie 'Vacation' sequel planned to focus on Rusty Griswold

According to the Hollywood Reporter, New Line is developing a new project as a sequel of sorts to 1983’s classic Vacation. David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) will produce and potentially direct. Potential writers are in discussions about the script, which is expected to focus on Clark Griswold’s son Rusty, who is now a father himself going on a family road trip.

Vacation, The Next Generation!

These are the travels of the family Griswald
Their two hour mission
To explore strange new worlds
To seek out new physical comedy and new jokes
To boldly go where no Griswald has gone before

Wouldn't it be hilarious if they had Anthony Michael Hall reprise his role from the original movie? Even I would watch that!

I know! I saw Chevy Chase on Regis and Kelly this morning and his hair is all white! That is what hair he has left! He's aged a lot since the Vacation movies.

I love that movie. One of my favorite Christmas movies too. Absolutely hilarious. That movie is the same age as me, damn . I wish they would of kept all 4 characters for all of the movies, and Cousin Eddy too obviously. If he, Chevy Chase and the original mother aren't in this one, might not be too good. I wish they still had the original kids in their too.

This would be great but only if they use the guy who played the Original Rusty in 1983

The daughter was great too in Christmas Vacation. not to mention she was soooo enthusiastic throughout the movie . Christina Davis, is that her name? I know it, it's on the tip of my tongue but I can't think of her name right this moment.
