How sad. Does anyone know what happened?

I have no idea who he was, but that's sad that he died so young. My prayers go out to his loved ones.

His name looked familiar to me, so I looked him up and sure enough... he was Ambrose on the short-lived (but hilarious) "George & Leo." That was the 1997-98 sitcom starring Bob Newhart, Judd Hirsch, Jason Bateman and Bess Meyer (replaced by Robin Lively, in later episodes). Darryl Theirse played George's (Newhart) employee at the bookstore.
I'd like to know how he died. Rest in Peace, Mr. Theirse. |

The late Darryl Theirse was hugely talented! I believe he played a somewhat stereotypically prissy character on both the later Newhart/Hirsch series "George & Leo", then on Christina Apple- gate's short-lived NBC series "Jesse" (which ran for one season, directly after "Friends")! One episode in particular was a standout for Mr. Theirse---where his character ends up in the hospital after some sort of accident, and due to his injury, experiences a wholly unexpected, drastic personality change, where he temporarily adopts the persona of an "urban tough"! Theirse was hilarious!
