Madderest My Vote for Dumbest Mother of the Year Goes to.....

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. – A woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police said she let her daughter ride in a box on top of their van. Albertville Police spokesman Sgt. Jamie Smith said 37-year-old Jackie Denise Knott was arrested Sunday after police received a call of a minivan traveling on U.S. 431 with a large cardboard box on top with a child inside.

Smith said the woman told police the box was too big to go inside the van, and that her daughter was inside the box to hold it down.

Smith said Knott told officers it was safe because she had the box secured to the van with a clothes hanger.

The teen was turned over to a relative and the Department of Human Resources was notified. A worker at the Albertville city jail said Knott was out on bond Monday.

Cool

Wow! Treating your daughter like a human paperweight. That is beyond dumb. It's downright dangerous!

Darn right it's stupid and dangerous and I can't believe she thought a coat hanger would be enough to secure the box to the roof. This incident reminds me of a woman in NC who put a mattress in the back of her pick up truck and her son laid down on to hold it down. A gust of wind came up and blew the mattress and her son onto the highway and he died from his injuries a few days later.

Some people should just not be allowed to breed, period. This woman is Exhibit A.

It has always amazed me that you need to get a license to drive a car but anybody can procreate.

Exactly. I hope for societies sake the daughter doesn't end up with her mother's brains.

The perfect theme song for this woman is without a doubt "Stupid Girl" by The Rolling Stones.
