Exclamation "Mister Ed" Season One DVD Oct. 6th

Now you can enjoy all 26 episodes from the first season of the classic sitcom Mister Ed.

Architect Wilbur Post (Alan Young, The Time Machine) and his wife Carol (Connie Hines) move into a beautiful new home complete with a barn in the backyard.

When Wilbur takes a look in his new barn, he finds that the former owner left his horse behind. This horse is no ordinary horse . . . he can talk, but only to Wilbur, which leads to all sorts of misadventures for Wilbur and his trouble-making sidekick Mister Ed.

Premiering in 1960, Mister Ed became the first syndicated series ever to be picked up by a network when CBS adopted the show in 1961 for the remainder of its five-year run.

The program won a Golden Globe Award as Best TV Show in 1963. You never heard of a talking horse? Well, check out the famous Mister Ed.

Special Features:

- Interviews With Stars Alan Young And Connie Hines
- Audio Commentary On The Pilot Episode With Alan Young And Connie Hines

This one was a hard one to find, None of my 4 best buys had it, I finally found the one copy they ordered at my local FYE in the top #5 selling slot.....lol....I asked how many did this store order and the clerk said "just that one"...so selling one copy makes it top 5!!! ...how do they expect these things to sell when stores don't stock enough?

Cool

I find it difficult to find Shout Factory releases in the stores. a lot of stores don't seem to carry them and those that do only seem to get them in a few weeks after the release date. I realize Shout Factory is a smaller company than Sony, Paramount, Universal etc. and that product distribution poses more of a challenge for them but it sure is frustrating!

The better question is ...how do they expect these things to sell when they use cut syndicated episodes on the DVD?

Unfortunately sometimes cut syndicated episodes are all that exist. Especially with a series as old as this. I think we should just be happy that many of the episodes on this set are uncut. I'd rather enjoy what we do have than complain about what we don't!

Agreed as well.....if someone was offering me a dollar bill but could only get 75 cents, I would still take it rather than nothing at all.....
