Default It's Official- MLB PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to the Dodgers on Clinching the NL West tonight. Only race left is Minnesota/Detroit, for the AL Central crown. 1 more game to go, but everything in the National League is pretty much set up.

Is everybody ready???

Playoff matchups are just about set.

Yankees vs Twins/Tigers
Angels vs Red Sox

Dodgers vs Cardinals
Phillies vs Rockies

For DS predictions, I have Yankees 3-2(3-1 if it's Tigers), Red Sox 3-2, Dodgers 3-2, and Phillies 3-1.

For LCS, I have Red Sox 4-2 and Dodgers 4-2.

For WS, I have Dodgers 4-3.

Out of those teams mentioned, I would love to see the Tigers advance as well as the Dodgers. As long as the Yankees don't end up in the World Series, I'll be happy. I love watching the Yankees lose! Their egos are bigger than their new baseball stadium!

I'd like to see a Phillies/Yankees World Series, if only for the possibility of a slugfest. Home-run hitters galore in hitter-friendly stadiums.

Dodgers couldn't even beat Pittsburgh to win the division sooner, how are they gonna win the WS?- lol.

Manny is struggling, they have no starting pitching. I'm sorry, I see the Dodgers losing in 3/4 games to St. Louis right away. How do you have them overcoming all that, and still beating St. Louis, with Cy Young candidates Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright in their rotation, along with Smoltz, and with Pujols and Holliday back to back, and a good set of role players based around those 2. The Dodgers are barely limping in. Usually, you have to be playing good or not be injured or struggling, to be able to succeed in the playoffs- but it's the playoffs so anything can happen too.

My predictions

Dodgers vs. St. Louis

St. Louis in 4

Philly vs. Colorado

Philly in 5

NY vs. Twins/Tigers

Yankees in 3

Angels vs. Red Sox

Angels in 5

Phillies @ St. Louis

Philly in 6

Angels @ Yankees

Yankees in 6

I think that could and might happen

i am focused on Game 1 wednesday

i gave predictions but i could give a crap about the other 7 teams. I am focused on the Phillies and the Phillies winning only, for right now.

Angels are the hottest right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they went to the WS themselves.

Regular season and playoffs mean nothing. The Dodgers have one of the best pitching staffs in the league and they can score runs with the best of them. The Tigers went something along the lines of 12-23 in their final 35 games in 2006, ended up losing the division, and still went to the World Series.

Twins are the hottest. They're 16-4 in their last 20. Angels are only 11-9.

They have no rotation. No Chad Billingsley. Inexperience and no ace or guy that scares you on the rotation. do they have a 20 game winner? or anybody close to that? lol no. they have ex phillie randy wolf, which isn't saying much. yankees have sabathia, burnett and pettite, phillies have cy young winner cliff lee, pedro, ja happ and hamels, st. louis has carpenter, wainwright and smoltz etc.

yeah but dodgers couldn't even beat the pirates when it counted (for the division, they weren't in yet). i hope for another NLCS but 1. I'm focused on the Phillies and 2. I can't see the Dodgers getting their anyway. I like the Dodgers over other teams, but I hate that ***** TJ Simers, so I hope Dodgers lose just because of him, and so he shuts the hell up.

Sabathia is the only starter with an ERA under 4. Their starting rotation isn't strong at all. The Dodgers overall pitching staff ranks among the best. They have given up the fewest runs in all of baseball. There's a reason for that.

the dodgers have a great overall staff, but I'm talking the starters- the guys that will go the most innings in a playoff series. Yeah but Burnett is still good and can strike out guys, and Pettite is good as well and is very much experienced when it comes to the postseason. He also learned a lot from Roger Clemens as well; his best buddy. Dodgers have no big names, or no aces on their staff. who is going to be their- Game 1, Game 2 and Game 3 respective starters for the St. Louis series, what do you think?

bullpens are very important in a short series and if I were a philly fan I would be very worried!
