The only one that I know of if is Matthew McConaughey who appeared as "Larry Dickens" in a 1992 episode; which was actually his first acting gig.
Did any others appear in the show before they were famous? |

McConaughey is the only one I have heard of.
That being said, I do recall some past discussion here of an actress who was in one of the re-enactments in the later years (possibly when the show was on CBS) who went on to achieve some glimmer of fame. As I recall, she dissed UM and said it was a cheap role she just did for the money or some such. For the life of me, I can't remember who she was and what exactly she said of her role on UM but I know it was derogatory in nature. In the same thread, I think some posters remembered this actress and said she did a crappy job - she had some line about "oh wow, we'll get to drink martinis!" or something having to do with an alcoholic drink. I'm sorry I can't remember more. Maybe Crystaldawn or someone like that knows.

Stephanie Weir from MADtv portrayed a resident of a run-down motel in the Neil Jennings segment.

Did Matthew McConaughey play the role of Larry Dickens in that "legendary" UM episode "Texas Most Wanted" back in 1992? IIRC McConaughey appeared as Edward Harold Bell.

I don't know how true it is but I heard of a story where the police were called on him because a viewer thought he was the wanted man. |

The segment about "Tony", that guy was in Timecop with Van Damme in the '90's and I think he's been on NCIS or maybe that old show JAG. I'm pretty sure it's the same guy.

I've seen the guy that plays Ed Baker in some movies usually playing a bad guy of some sort.
Oh, and the guy from the Su Ya Kim segment that plays her son or brother-in-law was in the TV show Lost. I've also seen the guy that play Tom Dixon from the Gary Simmons segment before. |

I think Matthew McConaughey and Cheryl Hines are the most memorable ones.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0493013/ That's the guy who played Tony. He was later a regular on JAG, and was in the Econo Lodge commercials a few years ago (I think it was Econo Lodge, anyway) with the song "I've Been Everywhere," by Johnny Cash. |

In the Swedish Hitchhikers segment, did anyone else think the truck driver looked a lot like Puddy from Seinfeld? I think the actor's name is Patrick Warburton.
