Default Situations where it made no sense....

How many situations can you think of where it didn't really make sense for all four "girls" to be in a certain place like ,

When Blanche went with her daughter to a clinic to check out getting artificially inseminated it seemed unrealistic that Rose, Dorothy and Sophia would all tag along

When Dorothy went to speak at career day at the high school, they explained why Rose went along, but then all of a sudden all four went along

And Exactly when do Blanche and Rose go to work?

As for the sperm bank, Dorothy and Sophia were in the same building b/c Sophia had a doctor's appointment, so it's not so unrealistic. Rose said she was going so she could start a baby book, LOL.

The career day thing, weren't Rose and Blanche going shopping together after, to buy Miles a bday gift? I don't remember if/why Sophia was there, though. I haven't seen that ep. in a while.

I kind of know what you mean by not making sense. I just love the girls, but they were always together supporting each other in everything so it just make sense when they showed up together all the time in a acceptable kind of way. It just always fit in to me.

I guess theres always an explanation why they all end up in a certain place, even if it gets far- fetched. Sometimes the writers are very clever. Like when Sophia was in the hospital and got lost, and Dorothy and Blanche were looking for her, Rose (in another storyline) was working there, and was able to join up with them.

Two that come to my mind:

1.) The Daughters of the Old South Initiation Banquet that Blanche attended (Witness). Those people couldn't tolerate anyone who wasn't 100% southern, even blackballing someone whose ancestor had sold horseshoes to the Union, so I wouldn't think they'd let Blanche bring her friends who were clearly from Brooklyn and Minnesota - not to mention that Rose brought a date.

2.) Dorothy's goddaughter Jenny's wedding (Mangiavallo Curse). A goddaughter is spiritually, perhaps, but not technically, family, so she really would have no connection to Blanche and Rose. Not to mention that she seemed to let them bring dates, who would be strangers to her. I could see Michael or Kate Zbornak inviting all the ladies to their wedding, as "close friends of Mom's, who are like family." But for a goddaughter, the connection just seems more, well, remote, particularly when you consider that there was actually bad blood between the Petrillos and the groom's family.

3.) And a slight variation - I didn't get why, in the last episode, Rose assumed she had to move, because Dorothy and, supposedly, Sophia, were leaving. Of course it made sense for Sophia to move with her biological child, even if she'd come to think of Rose and Blanche as daughters, too.

they had to be very close to the goddaughter, at one point in tha ep whn Dorothy had Blanche trapped in the bathroom stall, the bride called Blanche-Aunt Blanche...lol so i guess they to come lol...
