Post Does Anyone Remember Roger Ramjet?

One of my favorite cartoons from the early 70s was "Roger Ramjet", "All-around good guy, and devil-may-care flying fool" He fought the forces of evil with the help of his "American Eagles" squadron, whose members included "Yank", "Doodle", "Dan", and "Dee". It was very similar in style to "Rocky and Bullwinkle", but was not done by the same people.

I vaguely remember it ...
"Roger Ramjet, he's our man,
Hero of the nation ..."

I remember watching it when I was around 4 or 5, I can still remember some of the words saying-

Roger Ramjet, he's our man
Hero of our nation
For his adventures just be sure
And stay tuned to this station!

Cool R.R. Wooooo!!!

Roger Ramjet is hillarious! I don't remember where my brother and I saw them, but it almost became an obsession. We'd go around saying "arrrrhhhh" like Red Dog the pirtate guy. "I'll scuttle that Roger Ramjets". Hahahahaha. My bro. drew Roger's face all the time and would tape it to the back of visiting friends' cars. The next day I'd get a strange call about "what was that face on the back of my car last night?" He even painted a giant version on cardboard. Crazy characters and bizarre humor! Also, I love the theme song with the grinding hamond organ and have it on my comp. now. Hail Roger!

I remember watching this show as a kid...

Some more of the theme song (closing theme song, I think...I don't know if the opening theme song was any different)...

This was sung to the toon of "Yankee Doodle":

So come and join us, all you kids
For lots of fun and laughter
As Roger Ramjet and his men
Get all the crooks they're after

then it goes into the "Roger Ramjet he's our man" part...

I liked that show...I'd love to see it again
