I understand that a few of you worked or work there. What do you like, and what dont you like about working there?

I just applied there today.

I worked at Target 6 years ago for the holiday season. I was a night stocker. I thought they were pretty nice and laid back. Except for one supervisor, he was constantly yelling at us new people but we had another supervisor and he was a nice guy. The stocking was easy.

I hope you get the job!

I, too, worked there. Mike (Shine) is a former Target TM too... Pretty sure he's the one here on SO who worked there the longest.

I started working at Target in late 2007 for the holiday season, as an overnight flow team member (aka night stocker). I got to stay on after the holiday season and was there until earlier this year - April 2009.

I loved working there... But a common problem that seems to be rampant with Targets corporation-wide is that TMs are never guaranteed a certain # of hours every week. That goes to the team leaders (TLs) and above, or people who have been there a long-ass time (I know two people who are just TMs, have been at Target for almost 21 years and are full-time). That was the biggest reason for my leaving Target - I was getting 7.5 to 15 hours every week. I basically said "**** you," applied elsewhere, got a job elsewhere and booked it the **** out of there. I miss Target and would like to work there, but I am NOT going to work there as my primary job. That's just silly.

So, Mickey, that would be my advice to you if they have you stay on after New Years. LOOK FOR A SECOND JOB LOOK FOR A SECOND JOB LOOK FOR A SECOND JOB. Did I mention LOOK FOR A SECOND JOB?

I only plan to work part time there anyway.
