For those of us with landlines
Do you sometimes forget to put your phone back on the base?

I forgot to put the phone that is in my room back on the base last night and just realized about 30 minutes ago that it still wasn't on the base. It was laying on the kitchen table. I bet it's close to dead, if not already,

It's now back on the base.

We still have the old-fashioned phones with the cords!

Yeah, I've done that a couple of times with the one cordless phone we have. That thing is such a piece of junk anyway.

Yeah, I've forgotten to put my phone back on the base, and when I do realize I forgot, mine is almost dead, too.

No. But what I do forget quite often is to turn the ringer back on in the morning. I always turn the ringer off at night so I can sleep undisturbed and I often forget to turn the ringer back on in the morning.

^ I do that with my cellphone. i turn it off at night and when I'm at work and forget to turn it back on.

no I always hang up my phone but my Aunt forget's to Hang up her Phone from Time to Time

My parents have before at our new home. That's was even before we moved. Now, we have a cell phone we use at our new home. We don't have landline phones at our new home.

I've done that many times. Remember when the old phones used to make that HORRIBLE screeching noise when the phone had been off the hook for too long?
OMG, once at work I was helping a lady with some transportation on the phone. I asked her where she wanted to go and what time. She told me and when I got that into the computer, I asked her about the return. I heard her put down the phone and walk away. I guess she sat the phone down without thinking about it and sat down to watch TV. I was yellling into the phone and finally all I could do was hang up. I couldn't call back because the phone was off the hook! LOL. She eventually called back though.
