Exclamation "The Patty Duke Show" Season One DVD Sept. 29th

From 1963 to 1966, American audiences were treated to the weekly comic hijinks of identical twin cousins, Patty Lane -- a normal American teenager living in Brooklyn Heights, New York -- and Cathy Lane, her Scottish cousin freshly arrived in the United States to finish her secondary schooling.

Patty Duke, already an Academy Award-Winner for her role in The Miracle Worker, played the roles of both girls. The Patty Duke Show immediately won over television audiences and ran for three fun-filled seasons, totaling 104 hilarious episodes.

For the first time, all 36 episodes are available on DVD in this six-disc set!

Special Features:

- Closed Caption
- "A Look Back at The Patty Duke Show" - brand new cast interviews

It's coming from Shout Factory. When its out and the reviews come in and they're complete and uncut, then I'll look into buying it. Not before.

Cool

Did you know it's biologically impossible for cousins to be identical? Which makes sense when you realize that as cousins they would have different parents.

Do you know that television shows are fictional and not beholden to be scientifically accurate? There's also no such things as witches (Bewitched), genies (I Dream of Jeannie), robots that look like beautiful women (My Living Doll) or supermen (Superman).

It's a shame they couldn't include the pilot. I've seen it and it's actually a really good episode and introduction to the show. This set is still exciting though and I'm looking forward to getting it.

My copy arrived so I will be watching it tonight. I really like the episode guide with some pictures/trivia that was included.

Shout! has become my very favorite studio. They have produced some great sets. I have to say that VEI and MPI are both my least-favorite studios. They could take a lesson from Shout. And I won't even mention Sony since they have all but dropped out of the tv-on-dvd market.

I agree about Shout! but I'm curious why you don't like M.P. I.? I know they haven't put out as much, but Here's Lucy is great!!!!
