Eagles cb Sheldon Brown fined $10,000 for wearing mask - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The Associated Press reports...

Eagles corner Sheldon Brown wore a Jason mask during player introductions last Sunday before kickoff against the Saints. Whatever the intended effect it was supposed to have on New Orleans that day, and Sheldon was never particularly specific on that point, it clearly didn't work, as the Saints dropped 48 on Philly on the road.

But the mask did make Roger Goodell's hair stand on end, though not as much out of fright as him thinking "one of these insolent underlings has the audacity to take liberty with my mandated uniform restrictions."

That particular deviation from the sacrosanct uniform code will set back Sheldon $10,000. Given how much that mask is setting him back, one hopes he'll make use of it come Halloween time. Which is unfortunate, because a Jason mask is about as unoriginal a costume as you can find. How sad he'll look when everyone's rocking their fancy new Rorschach masks. That and, of course, Sheldon's out $10,000

^ i just wish he would of had an INT and we would of won the game, more importantly. But it was still a fun/cool thing to do on Sheldon's part. He has always been one of my favorite Eagles.

I watched that game last Sunday and I thought the intro wearing the mask was pretty cool. The fine is pretty stupid.

The fine is a joke.... I have a sneaky suspicion that mask was directed towards reggie bush reminding him of that scott stevens type hit he took in the playoffs a few years back

he should be have been fined because it was stupid and made no sense. thought it was going to try and wear it and under his HELMET-lol

The Eagles got their butts kicked on their own home field. I think there are more important things they should be doing with their time than trying to send a message or be cool. What good is sending a message anyway if you are unable to back it up? The Eagles owe it to their fans and themselves to concentrate on playing the best football they can.

He did this BEFORE they got their butts kicked dude.. Who cares what a player does during intros... Its meaningless and only meant for the fans

My point is if he had been preparing to play football instead making a fool of himself maybe they wouldn't have got their butts kicked. And the fans pay a lot of money for tickets to the game (not to mention parking etc.) and for that kind of investment they deserve to see a team whose top priority is trying to win the game. Sheldon Brown's antics give the impression that he's making himself the center of attention rather than the team.

Your telling me!!! I have been an eagles season ticket holder for 18 yrs & i pay 20 dollars to park every single week...

I had absolutely no problem with it then & i don't now.. He was one of the few eagles who actually played well on Defense
